Sailing Lessons

The North Shore Yacht Club’s 2009 sailing courses are a great way to learn the foundations of sailing – both in a formal course setting and through continued on-water coaching and encouragement in regular club activities.

Ages 14 & Up

Levels Beginner/Intermediate

Skills Learned: Hands-on shore side and on-water instruction followed by “tiller time” through on-water coaching sessions. The course prepares you to sail a small boat with confidence. Become familiar with small boat rigging, terms and handling techniques. Learn the essentials of sailing, plus safe launching and docking, weather and surf conditions, safety equipment, boating rules-of-the-road and knots.

Dates Saturdays, June 6-August 8 | 9:00am-Noon OR Sundays, June 7-August 9 | 9:00am-Noon

Fee $425 - includes NSYC Membership
